This little gem was one of Onra’s first releases, and it remains one of my favourite instrumental hip-hop albums of all time.
Lavish and unabashedly ornate, and packed with juicy eastern samples from China and Vietnam, they are a stunning testament to the man’s undeniable genius. As you can see, even the cover art is absolutely stunning.
The story goes that Onra went to the land of his grandparents for the first time in 2006, and whilst there, bought a shit load of Asian vinyls, brought them back to France and made some sick beats with them. What a legend.
